Ida has a Masters in Aesthetics from the University of Oslo. Prior to the position as press contact she has done press work for several Norwegian designers, like Batlak and Selvig and Cathrine Hammel, and she is an active member of the charity based dj-group TOO MANY GIRLS. At the Astrup Fearnley Museet she has worked as a museum host and a receptionist and knows the museum very well.
- I am passionate about this type of communication. Astrup Fearnley Museet has a wide perspective and many catchments. Apart from the temporary exhibitions and the Astrup Fearnley Collection we have an excellent museum shop, we arrange Thursday talks with art specific topics and presentations. We also offer activities for children and schools – and everything is located under the roof of Renzo Piano’s architecture.
- We experience a lot of interest from both Norwegian and international media and my job is to follow up closely on this interest. I am looking forward to work with the upcoming exhibitions. Firstly, the big changes in the permanent collection that will be available for our visitors next week, then Love Story – works from Erling Kagge’s collection that opens in May. I especially find it exciting to work with exhibitions that to such a large extent, focuses on young Norwegian and international artists, and present these to a wider audience.
