After a great exhibition period in Oslo this autumn and winter, the exhibition Los Angeles - A Fiction, which Astrup Fearnley Museet co-curated with MAC Lyon, has now moved on to its next stop! Wednesday 8 March the exhibition will open at Musée d'art contemporain de Lyon.

Los Angeles is a city with a flourishing diversity of artists who have created their own visions and artistic languages within the same social and geographical environment, but which have taken them on different routes. The exhibition presents 34 artists and 84 writers from the past 50 years, and together they create a fictional and subjective view of Los Angeles. The artists range from young and aspiring artists to their well-established predecessors in Californian art history. The literature consists of a selection of texts written in and about Los Angeles during the same period, presented in the form of a book.

When the exhibition Los Angeles - A Fiction now is displayed in Lyon, it has gone through a significant development from its presentation in Oslo. At MAC Lyon, with its spacious galleries, even more works by the selected artists are being presented. This expanded version of the exhibition can be experienced in Lyon until July 9, 2017.
