Renzo Piano is the Italian star architect who was commissioned to design the new Astrup Fearnley Museum in Oslo (2012). His company Renzo Piano Building Workshop (RPBW) has 150 employees and offices in Paris, Genoa and New York. How does an internationally recognized architectural firm deal with the question of local adaptation and regional identity?
