The founders of the artist-run exhibition space 1857, Steffen Håndlykken and Stian Eide Kluge, will give a presentation of the project.

1857 is an artist-run exhibition space occupying a former lumberyard in Grønland, downtown Oslo. Established by artists Stian Eide Kluge and Steffen Håndlykken in 2010, 1857 aims to establish connections between the Norwegian art scene and young artists abroad. It is a place to convene and converge, receive, answer and honour contemporary art in Oslo. More info at

Steffen Håndlykken (b. 1981, Oslo) and Stian Eide Kluge (b. 1977 in Oslo), are both artists based in Oslo.
