Francis Bacon, Triptych Inspired by the Oresteia of Aeschylus, 1981
Francis Bacon is one of the most important post-war artists, and now it is possible to see his painting Triptych Inspired by the Oresteia of Aeschylus again! We invite you to a tour where we will explore the paintings in the Astrup Fearnley Collection with a special focus on Bacon. With the exhibition The World is Made of Stories as a backdrop, we will look at different painting tendencies in contemporary art, such as pop art, appropriation, expressionism and text based work.
The tour will be held in Norwegian. Drop-in with a maximum of 30 adults.
