Ann Cathrin November Høibo

Born 1979, Norway. Lives and works in Kristiansand.

Ann Cathrin November Høibo’s artistic projects are diverse, ranging from installations and site-specific works to large abstract paintings and weavings.

The artist draws her inspiration from traditions and techniques developed by female artists and avant-garde movements. She often uses traditional techniques referencing both high and low culture, often with everyday-life as the central subject matter. This aspect can be seen both in the traditional weaving technique she applies and in the found objects she includes in her works.
